Webshot by Tuxxin is a free, no-account screenshot tool. We collect as little data as possible to operate the service. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
What We Collect
IP Address
We log your IP address solely to enforce our rate limit (5 captures per 15 minutes per IP). This prevents abuse of the service. IP addresses are stored in our internal database alongside capture request metadata (URL submitted, format requested, date/time, response status).
We do not sell, share, or otherwise disclose IP addresses to any third party except as required by law.
Screenshot Files
Screenshots you generate are stored temporarily on our server. A file is automatically deleted from our servers as soon as you download it, or within one hour if you do not download it — whichever comes first. We do not archive or retain the content of screenshots after deletion.
Usage Statistics
We retain anonymised aggregate statistics about service usage (number of screenshots generated, formats requested, error counts, data volume) indefinitely. These statistics do not contain the content of any screenshot.
Google Analytics (GA4)
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate visitor traffic (page views, session duration, country). GA4 data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out via Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Google AdSense
We display ads served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve personalised ads based on your browsing history. See Google's advertising policy for details and opt-out options.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie (a temporary browser session identifier) to associate your generated screenshot with your download request. This cookie is discarded when you close your browser. We do not use tracking cookies of our own.
What We Do Not Collect
- We do not require account creation, email address, or any personally identifiable information.
- We do not retain the visual content of screenshots after the file is deleted.
- We do not store payment information (the service is free).
- We do not track you across other websites.

Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
